Practice Development for ADA Members

From the Academy of Doctors of Audiology's most recent "AudioGram":

The Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) is pleased to welcome Thomas R. Goyne, Au.D., as ADA’s newest contracted member resource. In this role, Dr. Goyne will work with ADA to develop and distribute practice management tools and resources for ADA members and will also answer basic member questions about practice management free of charge.
“We are pleased to be able to continue to enhance the benefits and services that we provide ADA members,” said ADA President, Nancy N. Green, Au.D., “and we look forward to working with Tom to deliver relevant and timely information that can be used to increase a practice’s success right away.”
Dr. Goyne, a long-time ADA member, has more than 15 years of clinical experience in academic medical institutions and private practice. He is the owner of Aberdeen Audiology in Wayne, Pennsylvania, adjunct professor at the George S. Osborne College of Audiology within Salus University, and is also a consultant with Oracle Hearing Group, a practice management consulting firm, established exclusively to provide professional support to individuals and institutions that practice Audiology.
“One of my particular passions is helping audiologists increase positive counseling outcomes so that patients adopt the recommendations that will help them hear better,” said Dr. Goyne. “One of the reasons why I am so excited about partnering with ADA is because ADA members understand the importance of best practices and the responsibility required to operate an autonomous practice.”
Members can visit http://audiologist.org/practice-development, where beginning this month, new materials, tips and resources will be posted on a regular basis. Members may also contact Dr. Goyne directly attrg3@drtomgoyne.com  to ask specific questions.

I'm thrilled to be working with ADA in this capacity. For me, practice development is a means to advance the profession of audiology.
